DaySense for iPhone · Local-first · No account required

A quieter way to keep the record of your days.

DaySense is a private daily tracker with check-ins you can keep as broad or focused as you need. Track mood and energy when useful, or keep the flow centered on sleep, notes, schedule and context — on your phone, with nothing leaving your device unless you choose.

01 — Log

Capture the day in under a minute.

One tidy screen for the things you want to record tonight. Use the standard setup with mood, energy, sleep, and profile context, or keep the check-in focused on sleep, notes, schedule and context.

  • Mood, energy, and sleep are free core fields — toggle any on or off in Settings.
  • Premium trackers (stress, caffeine, medication, and more) can be added with a subscription.
  • Free-form notes for the bit you actually want to remember.
  • Appointments kept next to the day they belong to.

03 — Daily review

One day, on one page.

Every saved day gets a clear review surface for the fields you included — sleep figures, mood and energy when enabled, the context you logged, the notes you wrote. Readable, not over-interpreted.

  • A clean, printable-feeling read of any single day.
  • Profile-aware framing — gentle, plain wording.
  • Edit, append, or simply revisit — your record stays editable.

  • Tap any saved day to open its full review.
  • Month navigation keeps older records easy to reach.
  • Saved days stay visible without turning the screen into a spreadsheet.
  • The bottom tab bar matches the current app: Log, Review, Calendar, Resources, Settings.

05 — Control

Your record, your switches.

Decide what your daily check-in includes, what tracking depth you want, which profile frames the language, and what happens to your data. Export, import, or delete it from this iPhone — all locally, all initiated by you.

  • Core check-in controls for mood, energy, and sleep.
  • Premium tracker toggles for stress, caffeine, medication, and more.
  • Profile, units and a warm light mode if you prefer.
  • Local DaySense record export & import for changing devices.

Profiles

Six framings. One honest record.

Pick the framing that fits how you'd like to log. It changes the wording, context options, and resources — not the underlying record, and not who you are. You can switch any time.

House rules

What DaySense does not do.

A short, plain list — written before any feature, kept the same as the product grows.

01

It will not diagnose you.

DaySense reflects what you logged. It does not score you, label you, or predict your mood. If mood is not in your check-in, mood trends stay out of the way.

02

Your entries stay on your device.

Wellness entries are stored locally on your iPhone. There is no DaySense account, and the current build does not run any DaySense analytics tracking on your entries.

03

It will not act for you.

No automatic alerts, no contacts notified, no monitoring. Any link you save is only opened when you choose.

Plain answers

Common questions.

Does DaySense send my entries anywhere?
No. Wellness entries are stored locally on your iPhone using a SQLite database. The current build does not upload your entries to a DaySense server, and the app does not run DaySense analytics tracking on your entries.
Is DaySense a medical app?
No. DaySense is for private tracking and reflection only. It doesn't diagnose, treat, monitor or manage conditions, and it doesn't replace a clinician, therapist, or emergency service. Please use local urgent support directly if you need it.
Do I have to track mood every day?
No. You can include mood and energy when they are useful, or keep your check-in focused on sleep, notes, schedule, and context. Stress is a Premium tracker you can enable separately. Review uses only the fields included in the entries you save.
What does the subscription cover?
Daily logging is free — mood, energy, sleep, and primary profile context. Premium unlocks extended review history (monthly, 3-month, and 6-month ranges), Apple Health imports, extra trackers, extra profile contexts, and advanced record tools. Monthly or yearly subscription, cancel any time in your Apple ID settings. Restore Purchases is available in the app.
What about Apple Health and location?
Both are optional and only run when you choose them. Apple Health nutrition import is read-only — DaySense doesn't write back. Location is used only when you ask for nearby activity ideas; raw coordinates are not saved into your daily record.
What happens if I change phones?
Settings includes a local DaySense record export — a versioned JSON file you can move to your new device and import. There's no cloud sync in the current build by design.
